Summer

Next week is the last week of school for me. Don't have to worry about do any more school work until sometime next August. After I get finished with the rest of my exams it will lift a huge weight off of my shoulders. Studying for exams is the most stressful thing I find about finals. Having to cover so much material at one time alone causes mass amounts of stress and strain on me mentally and physically. It feels like i never get a chance to rest and i spend my days working non-stop.
This summer I am trying to find a simple job that i could either work during the day or maybe even nights with the exception of friday nights. I am trying to apply for a position at the local gyms in Slidell. This way I may be able to get a free membership out of it. Plus working at a gym would be simple and stress free. The hardest thing I would have to do would be clean and wipe down the machines which would not take long at all. I was waiting for a response back from the Coast Guard's intern program to see whether or not I had a job with them. Finally, word came back that I didnt' get the job because six months prior work experience in a certain feild was necessary. So, next year I can get the job for sure. It would be nice if i could work some nights that way I could spend the day time on the boat or hangin out in the sun with friends. But, it is essential that i find a gym to join over the summer. I cannot go the entire summer without working out.

This whole blog thing is annoying. I don't know how i was short by a couple blogs but it was really aggervating that I was. I know for a fact that I did every one of my blogs every week. Unless we were supposed to have been doing two for some weeks. That is the only way I can figure that I was short. But how bad would it be to still have the prohibition era still going on. How bad would your weekends really suck College would have new grade highs, possibly. It would really suck to own a bar and all of a sudden have the prohibition era come back into play. During the old times of prohibition a lot of beer companies created something called near beer. It barely had any alcohol content in it what so ever. Bud produced bivo, Miller had vivo, and Pabs created Pablo which was short for Pabs low. Imagine that this "near beer" tasted horrible. I wouldn't even drink anything of the sort. This also remind me of all the brilliant beer commercials. How much money does the industry have to spend in order to make such commercials and have them air so much? Well, I guess it really doesn't matter when you make that much money anyway by having thirsty beer craving americans to buy all that beer. One of my all time favorites is the Budweiser commercial with the three frogs. That one never gets old and reminds me of when I was a little kid watching t.v.
This past weekend was pretty fun. Friday I left to go back to slidell again. That night I called up some people and they said they wanted to go to Lafayette. So at nine thirty that night we left to head to lafayette. There was some kind of creole festival goin on downtown and you could walk around drinkin like in the french quarter. Downtown lafayette is kind of like New Orleans, just not nearly as big. It is more like the section that you only go to to walk around and party. There are some trashy people there, but most of the time was fun. Then Sunday before I came back to Hattiesburg. We went to the Beaux Rivage buffet for no apparent reason. I paid twenty one dollars just to eat for two hours, it was possibly one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever been a part of. I should have just stayed at home and saved my money for that damn Jeezy concert, which is now going to cost me about 40 dollars so we can get good seats. Another thing is that they will be serving beer at this young jizzle concert, so this could get very ugly very fast. Anyway, to get completely off subject, I am watching something on the History Channel about beer. Anheiser-Busch has been the number one selling beer in America for hundreds of years. Mainly due to the bottling of beer, because by the time the automatic glassblowre wwas invented, A.B. was already ahead of the game.
There is only two more weeks of school left. I don't really count this week as actually being a school week because the only thing to do is go to class and review. Friday is the young jeezy concert and it should be a lot of fun. I just found out that on Saturday morning, the morning after the Jeezy concert, that I have to take my math final at nine in the morning. I'm gonna be in bad, bad shape for that test. Sometimes I do a lot better on my tests when I am hung over though. It is weird but a lot of my friends have said the same thing about when they have to take a test the morning after a long night of partyin. One thing I really hate about studyin for my math final for is the fact that I have to cover so much damn information. It is nearly impossible to study without getting stressed to the point of furiousness. All of my other exams should be a piece of cake. The only two I need to worry about are Math and Policing Methods. That damn Policing methods class is tricky to figure out. All the cases are essential to study and a lot of answers always seem correct. You would think it would be an easy class to take, but the thing is the class goes into all the knit picky areas of police work. All the psychological, pysiological, anthropological and other aspects are accounted for. Another thing I find stupid is the course evaluations. Most every student will just mark anything down in order to get it out of their way so they can view their grades.

It is finally Friday and that is something everyone can be excited about. I plan on drinking.....a little. Today was pretty good, probably the best day of the week. Half of it has to do with it being Friday and the other half of it is that I finished taking a test earlier. I feel pretty confident that I did well on the test. I only had to stop and think hard on a couple questions and most of the answers came to me immediately. It is such a relief when you finally finish something that you have been working toward or on all week.
Of course, there are always those few questions that are not going to be mentioned by your instructor on the review. I try to always anticipate and prepare myself for those types of questions, but it seems that no matter what I study for I can never be ready for the questions that sneak their way into the exam. And to top all of that off, I went to a Pike party last night. I tried to conserve myself from getting to hammered and managed not to get too bad. But with the atmosphere and meeting all the new people, I was still tempted.
I have three years left until I graduate and it seems like it will be forever. I know that the time will go by much faster than what I want. As soon as I graduate I am going to have a job that I'll be doing for the rest of my life. I plan on becoming a Federal Agent and would like to be apart of the DEA. This is something that I have always wanted to do since about my sophomore year in high school. I believe that the danger and adrenaline associated with the job will always keep me interested.

Whatever

Last weekend was just another weekend to add on to my life. I left around six in the afternoon on friday to go back to Slidell for the weekend. The weather was startin to get bad around Hattiesburg and looked like it was getting worse the closer I got to home. I heard about a few tornado warnings all throughout the state of Mississippi and I was headed into one of the cells. Luckily nothing happened, but when I got to my house it was pouring down rain like a hurricane. Lightning was pretty bad and the lake was not even visible. I called some friends that live there and asked what they had planned for the night. They said that they were gonna leave for Laffayete for the night. I decided to go with them. Some of our other friends that go to UL were havin a keg party at their apartments. Last time they had a keg there it was awesome and everyone got completely trashed. This time was a little different since the weather was so bad. On our way up there another wave of storms were blowing through around Baton Rouge. We were stuck driving for two hours in the horrible weather. Visibility was only about twenty feet ahead of us on the interstate and it was pretty rough. Once we arrived in Laffayete the weather had already passed. I should have brought jeans because the temperature dropped about twelve degrees in about two hours. It was hard to get drunk since I was cold. Saturday we drove back to Slidell and I met up with some people form hattiesburg. We reserved a hotel on barone street for the night. We left Slidell around four o'clock and arrived at our hotel around five. We started drinkin vodka and playing quarters for about four hours. Once our other friends arrived we headed to tropical isle to get some hand grenades, which is probably one of the best drinks you can get. After that, we met up with some people and went into Bourbon cowboy and got wasted. I lost fifteen dollars to a crack head tryin to play some game with a shoebox, three bottle caps and a little red ball. He ended up switchin the ball under a different bottle cap while I was pullin out my money, so I lost. I got pretty mad about that and had to leave before I jacked him. That was about all that happened that I can remember.

So the end of the school year is nearing and summer is starting to be mentioned. This past weekend I went back home to Slidell to visit my family for easter. Good Friday was pretty interesting considering I went to a crawfish boil and ate my heart out. That night was even more interesting. I went over to an old friend's house who was having a party and met up with some high school buddies of mine. We stayed there and hung out for about an hour. My friend Shawn got a phone call from some of his co-workers saying that they were all goin to Crazy Al's out in the Rigole's. This is probably about a thirty minute drive towards the other side of Slidell and it is out on the Lake. Well we decided to make the drive and arrived about thirty five minutes later. We paid the five dollar cover charge and walked in. It was nothin but thirty year old crack heads that looked like they were all on ecstasy or just got done with construction jobs for the day. The Dj was playin outdated techno music and there were disco lights and fog machines goin off around him. There was also a juke box in the corner by the bar where you could pick out your next song to listen to. My friend's co-workers mentioned that every time they come here they get into a fight with some drunk person who doesn't know who they are. Luckily the people we were with new half the people in there. I saw some old crackhead lady wispering to herself in the corner with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other. I decided to leave after about an hour, plus it was already three in the mornin. Shawn called me the next day and said he stayed there till five thrity in the morning, that is just ridiculous. I'll have to be real intoxicated the next time i go back there. I need to find a job real soon for ther summer time. I'll probably have to live in Slidell until Ican move into the cottages behind Mugshot's.
